How to get started 👇🏻
Team members are now able to state when they prefer to work by adding when they are available, not just when they are unavailable.
The new ability for team members to add in their availability will tie in with all the same touch points for managers scheduling shifts meaning there will be no changes to how you schedule. Managers will still see a warning when someone is being scheduled for a shift that clashes with when a team member has indicated a preference to work or not.
Availability makes it easier for certain kinds of team members to keep their availability up to date, such as casual staff members or people who don’t work full time hours and it may be easier and faster to indicate when they are available vs unavailable.
Making this process easier for employees will mean you’ll have more data available when looking to find the best fit for a shift.
What's New ✨
Keeping employee records up to date just got easier! With a Deputy HR subscription, your team can edit their employment details - including bank account, tax declaration and superannuation directly from mobile to desktop; no more manager intervention is required!
Enable self-service now in business settings to make it easier for employees to update their details while reducing admin work.

Over the past year, we’ve been developing a new payroll solution tailored for the Australian market: Deputy Payroll. Building on the existing Deputy workforce management platform, Deputy Payroll offers features designed to grow with your business. Timesheets to Payroll? With just one click, you can seamlessly convert timesheets into a pay run, ready to process. We've worked tirelessly to bring features to Deputy Payroll that focus on solving some of the most common frustrations customers have had.
✅ Multi-Entity: Deputy Payroll supports multi-entity out of the box. No more having to connect multiple iterations of the same payroll system to the one Deputy install. Process all your businesses through the one payroll account.
✅ Single Login: Gone are the days of logging into multiple apps to process payroll. Deputy Payroll is fully integrated into the Deputy system, allowing users access to process payroll quickly and easily, all within one platform.
✅ Employee based features: Employees can access their payslips straight from the existing Deputy mobile app, the same one currently used for leave requests and clocking in and out. As soon as a payroll is locked and completed, employees can view their payslips reducing the burden on payroll admins to get them sent out.
✅ STP and SuperStream Ready: Deputy has always been known for its powerful awards engine and Deputy Payroll takes this to a new level allowing you to complete all your government and superannuation reporting, directly inside the platform.
Deputy Payroll is coming very soon and we're so excited to show you what we've been working on. Expressions of interest are now open and you sign up HERE to be the first to experience the new world of Deputy Payroll

We're excited to introduce a new location setting that enables team members to claim and request open shifts, swaps and offers - even when they are marked as unavailable!
Life is unpredictable - sometimes, team members may want to pick up shifts even when they are typically unavailable otherwise.
For managers, this setting opens up an extra pool of team members to fill shifts, reducing time and effort spent managing shift coverage. It's a win-win!
This location setting is now available to all accounts.
You can enable it by going to:
Locations > Edit Settings > Scheduling > Creating and publishing shifts

Employees can now view their shifts based on their device's time zone (where they are located) or the business location's time zone. This way, employees living in a different time zone to their business know exactly when to start work, without having to do complicated time zone math!
Default will be the device's timezone, user will be able to change this from that default via this new setting.
